ABOUT THE TEAM

S/4HANA Consumer Industries Cloud is a new business unit at SAP S/4HANA with a focus on Industry Cloud, an emerging market segment where SAP guides its customers towards evolving their industry-centric business models with new processes, tools, and business services. SAP CIC complements SAP's existing Business Suite as well as helps the entire company keep pace with new market trends in Industry Cloud.

SAP S/4HANA CIC holistically targets the strategic industries of Consumer Products, Retail, Wholesale, and Life Sciences. As a dedicated unit, it takes a start-up approach to developing new cloud products and brings together the product strategy and Product Management for these four industries with all the necessary cloud business functions, such as architecture, engineering, Quality, and operations along with the development of cloud-native applications.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

POSITION TITLE: SAP iXp Intern - Software Developer

LOCATION:  Newport Beach, California - Please note that roles will be remote until local guidelines ensure safe office reopenings

IN THIS ROLE,

• Work collaboratively on an agile scrum team of 5-10 teammates
• Develop enterprise cloud software using the Java, Python, and Javascript programming languages
• Design and build the test automation infrastructure, tools, and frameworks used by our engineering teams
• Analyze and improve efficiency, reliability, and scalability of existing infrastructure
• Identify and automate test cases and improve existing integration testing processes
• Have opportunities for backend and frontend development
• Write test automation using the Java REST Assured framework and Cucumber
• Write code changes that will drive real business impact in a productive environment with active customers

WHO YOU ARE:

We’re looking for someone who takes initiative, perseveres, and stays curious. You like to work on meaningful innovative projects and are energized by lifelong learning.

• A driven individual who is willing to learn
• Team player who can work in a collaborative environment with team sizes of 5 – 10 people
• Experience with at least one major backend programming language such as Java or Python
• Experience with consuming and building RESTful web services
• Excellent problem-solving skills and great attention to detail
• Experience with git, continuous integration, and deployment tools
• Experience in test automation using Java, Jenkins, REST assured and Cucumber is a plus
• Computer Science or similar Major, or significant coding experience
