ABOUT THE TEAM  The Event Intern will play a key role in supporting our Program and Content team in promoting and executing our upcoming User Community Event in Dallas in October of 2022. The role will support the marketing team by providing assistance with events management, execution, communication and social media. The internship offers exciting hands-on experience and the opportunity to gain new skills. 

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

POSITION TITLE: SAP iXp Intern – Event Strategy and Content  LOCATION: New York, NY, Palo Alto, CA, Alpharetta, GA or Virtual/Remote EXPECTED START DATE: June 2022 – December 2022

IN THIS ROLE, YOU’LL:

• Supporting key activates and executional elements around event promotion
• Support administrative tasks, such as and weekly reports/updates
• Work closely with communications and content leads 
• Support BLOG/Social strategy and create a calendar of BLOGs from across the business
• Work with the social team to ensure executional elements, visual and content alignment to support social strategy
• Support the communications strategy with web site updates and organization of content for web team
• Support event strategy lead in delivering the requirement and asks from executive team
• Assist in PPT creation for presentations, such assisting in pulling together content from multiple places into one weekly report for marketing leadership
• On-site event management 
• Excellent team player and proactive networking abilities on a global basis
• Ability to work across functions, regions and countries combined with excellent interpersonal skills

WHO YOU ARE:

• We’re looking for someone who takes initiative, perseveres, and stay curious. You like to work on meaningful innovative projects and are energized by lifelong learning.
• Applicants for the role must be enrolled in Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree program (preference will be given to those in their last year of study and those with availability to work full-time)
• Prior experience (an internship) in communications or event planning is preferred
• Experience in content creation or curation is preferred 
• Understanding of Microsoft Office 365 including SharePoint is required
• Ability to communicate well at all levels of an organization via presentation, written, and spoken channels is required
• Excellent writing and communication skills are required 
• Exposure to social media and understanding of pull marketing is preferred
• Understanding of the role of events in the mix of marketing channels is preferred
• Customer Focus - a strong customer/user-focused mindset is required 
• Self-motivation and a proactive approach
• Comfort in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and willingness to travel is required 
• The chosen intern must be located in commuting distance to Alpharetta, GA
• The chosen intern must also be available to work for a full 6-month term
