    ABOUT THE TEAM

     

    As SAP’s internal marketing center of excellence for purpose and sustainability, we serve SAP’s aspiration of Chasing Zero: Zero Emissions, Zero Waste, and Zero Inequality.

     

    We deliver unique, differentiated messaging, positioning and content that aligns profit to purpose. Our value proposition includes products, programs, partnerships, and people. We drive relevance through industry and line of business context.

     

    We scale impact for SAP’s sustainability strategy by simplifying…with clear and distinctive value propositions; unifying…bringing together products, partners, programs and people; and amplifying…driving demand and revenue opportunities with customers.

     

    The team also is responsible for the SAP Purpose and Sustainability Center on the 48th floor at SAP Hudson Yards New York. The center is SAP’s global hub for purpose and sustainability and is a focal point for Chasing Zero. We offer customers sustainability experiences, workshops and programs that bring to life and humanize SAP’s unique value proposition for sustainability.   

    WHAT YOU’LL DO:

     

    Position Title: SAP iXp Intern - Executive Communications Location: New York / Virtual US Expected Start Date: October 2021 Contract Duration: 6 to 12 months

     

    In this role, you’ll:

     

    • Work with the SVP and leadership of SAP’s Purpose and Sustainability Marketing team to research, write, and publish internal and external thought leadership articles and other communications
    • Support one of the central pillars of SAP’s Purpose and Sustainability Marketing go-to-market strategy – Direct-to-Customer – and will help generate customer demand for SAP solutions for sustainability
    • Align messaging with the Communications leads for other SAP executives as needed depending on the article. You will also work with SAP communications channels (e.g. SAP News Center, SAP Employee Comms, …) to channel the articles to various audiences
    • Work on other projects that the leadership team may ask you to support to drive overall team success
     
    

    WHO YOU ARE:

     

    We’re looking for someone who takes initiative, perseveres, and stay curious. You like to work on meaningful innovative projects and are energized by lifelong learning.

     

    • Educational requirement: currently a student pursuing a master’s degree.
    • Desired skills / experience to be successful in this role: Fluent in English. Skilled with MS Office suite. Clear and concise writer. Knowledgeable and passionate about SAP’s purpose and sustainability commitments and offerings.
    • Required qualifications for the role: Organized and structured. Works with integrity. Accountable for deliverables. Kind, respectful, and thoughtful communicator. Inspired to be part of accelerating solutions to the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
    • Helpful qualifications: experience working in a customer facing role, or in developing relationships with partners, or in building communities of influence. Experience with innovation, design thinking, or advocacy for technology as a force for good would be helpful.
