SAP HANA is SAP’s ground-breaking in-memory database platform. It provides a powerful foundation for existing SAP products as well as for new applications on device, in the cloud and on premise. SAP HANA’s cutting-edge technology for main memory, multi-core processing, and data management enables real-time analysis in combination with online transactional processing of business data. We are a team working on allowing HANA scale across various nodes by building/supporting the Partitioning feature and allowing some of these partitions to reside on disk instead of memory. We play a crucial role in building scalability into HANA and bringing down the TCO of running large instances of HANA.

• Expected start date to end date: June 10, 2019 – August 16, 2019

In this role you will:

• Work on the development of new features and functionality within SAP HANA Partitioning and/or Native Storage Extension components
• Assist in addressing defects in the said components
• Help us actively extend and improve HANA Partitioning & Native Storage Extension, which enables our customers to run better

We as a team provide:

• An open office environment
• Weekly scrum meetings
• Four week development sprint cycles

WHO YOU ARE:

We’re looking for someone who can challenge the status quo and likes to stay curious. You enjoy working on meaningful projects and are energized by lifelong learning.

• Currently enrolled student or recent graduate pursuing bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
• Have experience in software development – coding and debugging
• Open to learning new programming languages and development processes
• The desire to learn and being proactive, as this role will require picking up new programming languages
• The ability to work well within a large team, as this role may require cross-team collaboration among multiple geographical locations
