About the team

As the product strategy team focused on establishing priorities for future innovation opportunities in the Intelligent Spend & Business Network product engineering board area, we synthesize key supply chain and procurement market trends, assess demand and market potential by geography, spend type and industry, take ideations through the innovation funnel with concept prototypes and business requirements clearly defined.

What you’ll do:

Position title: SAP iXp Intern - ISBN Product Strategy Software Developer

Location: Virtual (But willing to be attached to US SAP Labs office(s) for Intelligent Spend and Business Network in US when offices open up)

Expected start date to end date: June 1st, 2021 – May 31, 2022 (12 months)

In this role, you’ll:

• As a technology intern in the Intelligent Spend and Business Network business unit, you will look at market opportunities and trends, learn to address the needs of your target audience with a futuristic mindset, while ultimately building data-driven and process-focused concept prototypes leveraging the state-of-the-art tools, services and APIs offered by SAP’s Intelligent Spend and Business Technology Platform.
• Your deliverables will directly affect the future of SAP’s solution offerings by proving today the value to relevant stakeholders out of great ideas about tomorrow, by defining next generation concepts and by showing how the impossible can quickly become reachable, if treated with the right approach.
• You will have the chance to interact with key members of the product, engineering, partner and sales teams, as well as customers, to gain unprecedented insights into how the market leader works around this topic internally and for its customers.
• Make use of your development skillset to build working concepts that stitch together the basis for new avenues to be explored, generating potential new markets, revenue streams as you build skills that support multiple career path options.
• Work closely with your peers on the definition and development of high-quality cloud-based solutions that will become a blueprint for others.

Who you are:

We’re looking for someone who takes initiative, perseveres, and stay curious. You like to work on meaningful innovative projects and are energized by lifelong learning.

• Ability to work remotely and with global peers.
• Solid knowledge of Java, Node.js, Spring, Mongo
• Familiarity with Open Source Platforms and Technology
• Understanding of web and web service development (REST, OData)
• Experience with the UI5 web framework
• Literature about the Cloud Foundry and Kyma runtime environments (nice to have)
• Experience with prototyping tools (nice to have)
