    ABOUT THE TEAM

     

    The SAP Industries and Customer Advisory organization – consisting of PreSales, Value Engineers and Industry experts worldwide – is committed to SAP’s vision of helping the world run better and improve people’s lives.  As such, the organization is committed to identifying and optimizing synergies and performance across all 25 industries that SAP serves (from Retail to Banking, Healthcare to Public Sector), while establishing and demonstrating leadership in delivering the intelligent enterprise, upskilling and energizing talent, evolving and strengthening an integrated industry model, and excelling at telling the SAP story internally and externally.   As part of the teams’ refocused energies on the above workstreams, we are looking for a quick learner who is a self-starter, highly coachable, and social media savvy to join our team to help us accomplish these tasks.  The intern will work closely with the entire Industries and Customer Advisory Core and Extended Leadership team, as well as individuals responsible for marketing, strategy, and communications. They will be encouraged to think outside the box and challenge the status quo, while gaining invaluable hands-on experience in Industries.  

    WHAT YOU’LL DO:

     

    Position Title: SAP iXp Intern - Industries and Customer Advisory Communications Location: Newtown Square, PA / Virtual Expected Start Date: October 2021 Contract Duration: 6 months

     

    In this role, you’ll:

     

    • Support communication as needed in the form of newsletters, snapshots, bulletins, etc.
    • Bring alignment and consistency between the different teams in terms of communication channels and activities
    • Create, edit, update, and maintain documents on our enterprise collaboration platforms to support collaboration and enablement across our Industries teams
    • Build and maintain momentum in our internal communities (SharePoint, MS Teams, Slack) by curating and creating new content
    • Support social media activities for Industries leaders
    • Support in the planning of key events
    • As needed, research latest innovative technologies and help incorporate into industry content (PowerPoint and/or MS Word)

     

    WHO YOU ARE:

     

    We’re looking for someone who takes initiative, perseveres, and stay curious. You like to work on meaningful innovative projects and are energized by lifelong learning.

     

    • Background in Communication, Journalism, or Marketing is preferred
    • Familiarity with SAP and its software offerings, and experience in the technology sector
    • Strong proficiency in English is a must, and strong writing and editing skills are necessary
    • Extensive experience with Microsoft Office tools
    • Strong communication skills
    • Social media savvy
    • Organized, with an ability to prioritize time-sensitive assignments and follow through on commitments
    • Creative and flexible, with an eye for layout and design as well as a strong interest in innovative communication formats
    • Experience with Adobe tools like Photoshop, Illustrator, and Premiere is a plus
