    ROLE DESCRIPTION:

    The SAP Silicon Valley Marketing and Community Engagement team is seeking an experienced communicator to support the management, planning, development, and successful implementation of employee and community programs through effective marketing and communications. You will work directly with internal teams and stakeholders, including C-level executives to plan, design, build, and scale campaigns to employees locally, regionally, and globally.

     

    The role will be responsible for connecting leaders, partners, and customers to employees, as well as supporting various communication needs for internal and external employee programs, executives’ respective organizations, SAP sponsorships, customers, and more.

     

    • Execute small and large-scale internal programs (including internal events with external guests/partners) to drive employee engagement across all of SAP’s campuses within the Silicon Valley. Responsible for project management, budget, and communications with SAP executives and thought leaders. Market and establish SAP as an innovation leader.
    • Research, develop, deliver communications and marketing content for internal and external programs, initatives, campaigns, events, executive and customer meetings, etc.
    • Understand and define the target audience and its preferences, needs, and challenges to build relevant programs.
    • Build, tailor, and syndicate social media content for awareness, demand generation, and opportunity acceleration.
    • Combine market insights, business objectives, audience insights and intelligence as well as key messages into integrated programs and/or campaigns.
    • Provide communications consultation to internal business partners to support amplification of SAP’s message on internal and external communications channels.
    • Align with business stakeholders to ensure marketing programs closely align to business and sales goals.
    • Work effectively with internal partners to support their programs and ensure associates are receiving necessary, accurate, and integrated information.
  • Qualifications

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • Strong project management skills
    • Have an ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize work as assigned
    • Manage a calendar of events and ensure all channels for internal demand generation are leveraged to increase employee engagement
    • Deep understanding of event marketing and communications
    • Proven ability to work in a highly collaborative team environment and interface with employees at all levels within the organization
    • Strong attention to detail to ensuring the highest standard, with exceptional written and visual communication
    • Ability to ensure all stakeholders work together to deliver a customer focused high-quality event
    • Demonstrated ability to think critically and strategically
    • Experience successfully navigating a complex, matrixed environment with multiple stakeholders (a plus)
    • Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
    • Sense of humor appreciated

     

    EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:

    • 2-5 years of related experience
    • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree or equivalent required
    • Strong passion for employee engagement and storytelling
    • Event management and/or communications experience
    • Social media savvy
    • Self-starter with a high degree of confidence, aptitude and self-motivation
    • Strong skills at managing multiple projects concurrently with minimal supervision
    • Exposure of working across cultures in a collaborative and inclusive approach
