    What you’ll do

    Position title: SAP iXp Intern - North America Field Marketing
    Location: Newtown Square, PA
    Term: 6 months minimum, 12 months maximum
    Expected start date: October 2024

    The North America Field Marketing organization at SAP is looking for our next intern and high-potential new talent! If you’re a tenacious, creative and enjoy dynamic, and fast-paced environments then this role may be for you! Note: We are only able to consider candidates based in or around Seattle, WA, Atlanta, GA and/or Newtown Square, PA, as well as Vancouver, BC, Canada.

    • Assisting with the overall project management and execution of a variety of field marketing events – both SAP-hosted and 3rd party sponsored, both physical and virtual events
    • Assisting with the overall project management and execution of other field marketing campaigns related to tele, paid media lead-generation tactics, customer community-building programs and more
    • Learning SAP’s internal tools and processes to assist with campaign execution steps such as creating event invitations, building event registration pages, uploading interactions and responders post-campaign, purchase order requests, and more
    • Design, manage and send marketing newsletter updates to sales stakeholders
    • Develop written communications for internal and external audiences
    • Supporting a specific NA Marketing team based on geography, SAP solution area, industry and/or customer segment
    • Interacting with subject matter experts related to SAP offerings including core ERP, line of business applications, mobility, and/or business analytics
    • Working with and managing agency resources for campaign execution
    • Use SAP analytics tools to access, analyze and report on results of marketing plans and tactics
    • Develop research projects for topics such as competitor analysis, market analysis, and internal process improvement

    What you bring

    We’re looking for someone who takes initiative, perseveres, and stay curious. You like to work on meaningful innovative projects and are energized by lifelong learning.

    • Ability to self-learn quickly, ask questions and operate with autonomy within a team environment.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams and SharePoint
    • Project management and organizational skills, preferably in marketing and/or event management
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
    • High levels of tenacity, attention to detail and problem-solving skills
    • Interest in Marketing, particularly B2B marketing, the technology industry and building a long-term career at SAP
    • Recently earned a business degree with focus in Marketing or Communications
    • Preference given to individuals with experience (employment or volunteer) in marketing, sales, and/or event management
    • Candidates for this role must be students currently enrolled in, or recently graduated (up to 6 months post-graduation) from, a coding academy/bootcamp, associate, bachelor’s, master’s or JD/PhD program.

    The North America Field Marketing team is an organization within the Marketing & Solutions Board Area at SAP. As a field marketing organization, we are on the front lines of customer interactions and build strong partnerships with our Customer Success (Sales) stakeholders. We bring local market expertise to the greater global marketing strategy to ensure we are always in tune on our customers’ needs.

    While we are marketing tactics and plans consider the full customer journey, we do not focus on digital marketing tactics as much as we do on direct customer touchpoints through hosted or sponsored events, tele marketing campaigns, online events/webinars and more.

    Compensation Range Transparency :

    SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the hourly base salary rate range applicable for the posted role. The targeted range for this position is 17.00 - 40.00 USD. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidates will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. SAP offers limited benefits for employees hired into hourly or like roles subject to appliable plan/policy terms.
