PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

Your career in one of the most exciting environments at SAP!  Within the SAP Global Security (SGS) organization the department “Security Compliance Office” (SCO) is globally responsible for the Compliance Framework for SAP´s cloud and IT delivery units (incl. SAP S/4HANA cloud, SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud, SAP Cloud Platform, SAP Ariba, or SAP SuccessFactors, to name just a few) as well as for related security compliance demand topics. SCO provides strategic cloud compliance direction and advisory services to enable SAP to be the best-run Enterprise Cloud Company. SCO acts as the trusted partner & advisor to SAP’s cloud delivery and IT units for all security compliance matters. SCO further acts as single point of contact for SAP’s external auditor and is owner of the audit engagement. The following teams are part of SCO:

• Operations Office
• Competence Center
• Product & Service Certification 
• Validation, Assessments & Audits
• Service Continuity Management

The primary objectives of SCO are to advise SAP´s cloud delivery and IT units on obtaining and maintaining local and global compliance and regulatory obligations to generate trust through compliance. 

Based on business requirements the junior Security Compliance Developer and Support Specialist will be appointed to the Security Compliance Competence Center. The role is contributing to run and improve SCO’s operations support as well as to develop tools and automation solutions for SCO’s processes and functions.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

• Contribute to SCO’s compliance automation activities and development of SCO tools
• Develop automation into SCO’s processes and activities by e.g. JIRA customization
• Support SCO’s operations and contribute to continuous optimization, focus on SCO Service Desk
• Promote agile, innovative and user centric culture in operations support processes
• Effectively communicate with internal customers and stakeholders
• Readiness to participate in a collaborative global environment.

  EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

Required skills

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or a related discipline.
• Software development experience (JavaScript, Java or Python)
• Experience with Jira project and issue tracking software
• Knowledge of IT service management processes and concepts, especially Service Desk a plus
• Strong interest in security and process management and high level of attention to details
• Strong communication skills in English is a requirement
• Proactive behavior, high willingness to learn and the ability to drive in challenging projects
• Result orientation and execution focus
• Demand for a challenging position with the chance to develop your own ideas

Preferred skills

• Know-how about Information Security Management Systems, auditing and certification standards (e.g. SOC1, SOC2, ISO 900x, ISO 270xx, PCI DSS) a plus
• Experience with JavaScript, Python, Java or scripting languages

WORK EXPERIENCE

• 0-2 years’ experience in software development and/or IT support including internships
