This internship is as a Security Engineer on the Diligence Team.

More about the Diligence Team:

• ConsenSys Diligence is expanding its efforts on smart contract security to meet the needs of external clients such as 0x, TrueBit, and Aragon, as well as home-grown platforms including uPort, Gnosis, and Virtue Poker, and enterprise clients.
• Our aim is to build the most technically-gifted and engineering-focused blockchain security team.
• Smart contracts are programs on a blockchain: they never go down, cannot be changed, and run as programmed. These smart contracts directly control money, so you can see that their security is critical.

Responsibilities for this internship include:

• Penetration testing
• Web Application security testing
• Vulnerability scanning
• Threat modeling
• Hacking, modeling, scanning, auditing, designing and enhancing the security of smart contracts across the board.

• Published among the earliest decompositions of the DAO hack
• Helped INFURA scale to serve more than 40 million request per day
• Contributed code to uPort, Boardroom, Weifund, the Proof-of-Physical-Address project and the original Ujo Music prototype—one of the most heavily transacted-with smart contracts in the first six months of the Ethereum mainnet.

Skills required:

• True, demonstrated passion for software development
• Demonstrated experience or keen interest in Solidity
• Burning need to deliver value quickly, but also care about the quality of the code
• A portfolio of samples of work you are particularly proud of
• A track record of continuous learning and experimentation

Bonus Points:

• Relevant work experience analyzing the security of systems (penetration testing, Web Application security testing, vulnerability scanning, threat modeling, etc.).
• Relevant work experience, including experience in responding to security problems in target-rich environments, looking at security alerts, front-line analysis and response.
• Demonstrated expertise with Solidity, the EVM, and blockchain
• Coding or scripting experience in one or more programming languages.
• Including audit reports in your application is a plus
