    The Revenue Recognition Intern is responsible for assisting the Revenue Recognition Deal Support team in the US.  This position requires a dynamic student who is comfortable interacting with the sales teams and able to work in a fast-paced environment.  The Revenue Recognition Intern reports to the North America Revenue Recognition Manager and is a member of the North America Commercial Finance team.  The individual will be exposed to various areas of deal support and technical accounting.

    EXPECTATIONS & TASKS

    • Performance of controls and procedures to review on premise and cloud license agreements to ensure they are accounted for properly. 
    • The principles of One Deal Support and business partnering with sales teams.
    • Interact with KPMG during their quarterly reviews and the annual audit procedures.
    • Controls and procedures related to the monthly close of software revenue accounts and best practices.
    • Controls and procedures related to establishing and testing SSP
    • Keep current on Revenue Recognition training content & programs.
    • Ad hoc administrative tasks to support the revenue recognition team
  • Qualifications

    SKILLS / COMPETENCIES

    • Willingness to develop thorough knowledge of IFRS / U.S. GAAP on revenue recognition and SAP’s policies and practices
    • Inquisitiveness and critical thinking skills
    • Problem solver with confidently affirmative attitude
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Ability to work under time pressure and deadlines, and juggle multiple tasks and projects
    • Team player and self-starter

    EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

    The ideal candidate should be an Accounting major in their 4th or 5th year, with an interest in both accounting and business operations.
