THE OPPORTUNITY

As the Technical Writer at Xactly Corporation, you'll own all customer & partner facing product documentation including product overviews, installation and config guides, developer guides, in-app guides, release notes, newsletters, FAQs. You will be an integral part of the product management function, working closely with our product managers, engineers and customer enablement teams, to create resources to improve product adoption and the overall experience for our customers. You will be responsible for managing the documentation needs of multiple products, and work with various scrum teams to meet deadlines as per the product release dates. We are looking for you to partner with our user experience team to develop documentation guidelines and policies in line with Xactly brand requirements and ensure consistency, completeness and accuracy across articles. As a part of the process, you will be involved in the complete product development cycle and thus gain in-depth knowledge on all of Xactly's products.

THE SKILL SET:

• 2-5 years of technical writing experience in a software organization
• Strong written and verbal communication
• High attention to detail and should be able to clearly communicate complex technologies
• Should have managed documentation on multiple products
• Background knowledge of technical platforms, coding and scripting languages - HTML, CSS, JavaScript, REST APIs, SQL, Python etc. Note: Programming Language understanding and ability to read code is a big plus
• Experience working with the following tools preferred: Khoros, Git, GitHub, Confluence, Jira, Pendo
• Experience with developing API documentation
• Writing samples required
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred

Salary Range: $64,000 - $70,000 salary + semi-annual bonus Final pay determinations, salary ranges and pay increases are established by the employer. The ranges are an estimate based on potential employee qualifications, operational needs, and other considerations permitted by law. They are based upon a combination of local industry benchmarks, budget, experience, and internal comparisons. Salary ranges allow for growth opportunities as the employee develops new skills, and/or hones current skills.
