Machine Learning enables computers to learn from large amounts of data without being explicitly programmed. The world's most relevant enterprise data is part of SAP's system and business network. SAP aspires to make all its enterprise solutions intelligent and help customers to leverage their data. As UX Designer for Machine Learning development, you will work with a team of experienced researchers and data scientists taking on challenges posed by the SAP customers and product units and providing smart services across and beyond the SAP portfolio.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

As part of the SAP Innovation Center Network Machine Learning team, you will work together with a team of dedicated experts including researchers, developers, QA engineers, and architects with a single goal of building best machine learning pipelines for a variety of use cases spanning commerce, financial markets, and procurement. In your role, you will directly contribute to turning innovative Machine learning solutions into reality. Our focus is on designing and developing ML solutions, interacting with customers early and incorporating their feedback swiftly. Our commitment to our stakeholders is to produce delightful user experiences in all our products.

• Translate business and user requirements into effective UI designs and specifications
• Create artifacts such as wireframes, hi-fi mockups, and design specs
• Create and present iterative prototypes (high and low fidelity)
• Gauge the usability of new and existing products, and make constructive suggestions for changes
• Collaborate with product- and project management and engineering teams on use cases and business requirements to craft user interfaces in an agile and fast-paced development process that values close collaboration between disciplines
• Interact with customers to understand their business requirements and translate them into executable storyboard UI mock-ups
• Create valid estimates regarding effort for tasks, communicate these estimates and meet deadlines in a timely manner

EDUCATION AND REQUIREMENTS

• 1 -3 years of UX professional experience for software product development.
• University degree preferably in design, media design, industrial design, or related fields
• Strong visual design skills, and experience in UI design, and its methodologies
• Strong digital portfolio which demonstrates high-level proficiency in design for enterprise and/or consumer audiences
• Experience in major aspects of product definition: personas, user stories, task flows, prototypes, and information architecture
• Ability to work effectively with teams to prioritize UI issues and review the results of user research
• Familiarity with machine learning concepts/visualization is helpful
• Knowledge of Design Thinking practices is a strong plus
• Must be able to work onsite in Palo Alto, CA
