PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

This ISV Value engineering team is part of the Global Partner Organization, a global team of professionals who closely work together with our partners and other teams at SAP.

Our mission is make every partner an active contributing partner to the SAP ecosystem. Specifically, the team you will be joining will focus on ISV’s, Independent Software Vendors who engage with SAP on the technology platform.

Today we have an industry leading value engineering team, that is focused on the end customer, this group is taking their best practices and enhancing to be specific for ISV partners.

We are looking for an intern, to work closely with our global Head of ISV Value Engineering, defining and building and delivering the content that our sales teams will use to help build out value cases, focusing on ideas to outcomes.If you enjoy working in a highly charged, results orientated culture and are work self-motivated across multiple time zones, then we look forward to your application.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

• As an intern you will be working directly with the Global Head of ISV Value engineering and the wider SAP value engineering, design thinking sales and pre-sales teams.
• The position will be based in Palo Alto.

Daily tasks for the intern:

- Conduct research for identified ISV’s, including outside-in
    input business case completion.
- Assist in Business cases (financials)/ Perform
    financial modeling.
- Assist other team members in performing benchmarking analysis. 
- Assist in building business cases and presentations. 
- Assist in developing business case methodologies and toolsets.
- Conduct thorough industry/account research and analysis.
- Contribute to knowledge management. input to tools,
    methodologies and content.
- Identify potential targets for value engagements by
    conducting research.
- Assist in the building of success stories

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

• Post graduate student currently enrolled at an accredited university MBA Program.
• A background in Software & Technology with strong business acumen.
• A high degree of professionalism & maturity is expected enabling you to deliver results in a short time period.
• Comfortable with business modeling and understands all aspects of a company’s financial statements
• Proactively contributing own ideas
• Experience with a strategy consulting team preferred.
• You will learn about value engineering and the design thinking methodology while working in a multi-disciplinary team.
• Language skills: Excellent written and verbal English
• Computer skills: advanced knowledge of MS Office; especially excel with ability to build macro driven spreadsheets
• Soft skills: Team-Player, curious, creative, good communication and presentation skills, open, responsible, self-reliant, project management experience
