This is a formal internship offering aligned with Infor’s Education Alliance Program that offers students currently enrolled at a college or university access to cutting edge industry knowledge and solutions expertise.
Qualified Scholars will be placed on a specific team within an Infor department to gain comprehensive work experience.
Value Engineering & References is a global team dedicated to maximizing value realized by customers and helping Infor win new business through Infor references and customer advocates.
Value Engineering & References works closely with customers across all industries and product areas of Infor and develops and maintains strong relationships with individuals at all levels of a customer account from business executives, CEO, CFO, CIO down to front line workers using Infor technology.
The team helps Infor leverage relationships with Infor’s top customers for value realization-themed customer innovation studies, customer snapshots and other brand promoting activities such as third-party analyst surveys, Infor events, marketing campaigns etc.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the VE team and work closely with sales, product development and Infor’s creative agency (Hook and Loop) to help position Infor solutions’ business and IT value to clients and prospects and help close large strategic software deals.
Responsibilities:
Create customer success stories by conducting or participating in interviews with customers and thorough industry/product research and analysis
Identify customer pain points associated with existing product features (value discovery)
Define and quantify business value of Infor products
Compare all-inclusive costs of on-premise and cloud deployments
Review the strategic benefits of cloud-based applications
Assist in closing large and strategic software transactions by brokering the connection of prospects to Infor’s top customer advocates
Applicants must be currently enrolled students for the entire duration of the internship to qualify
Preferred Majors: Business, Economics, Journalism, Political Science, Philosophy
Required GPA: 3.2+
Strong business acumen and writing abilities
Analytical and problem solving capabilities
Familiar with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal
Organized, with an ability to work independently and prioritize time-sensitive assignments
