We are looking for software engineering interns to participate in all phases of software development including design, implementation, test and deployment. Successful candidates will be flexible, motivated, dedicated, detail-focused, and capable of multi-tasking.

GCS is a Salesforce.com Cloud Alliance Partner. We work with companies around the country to help them develop and implement technology tools that increase the efficiency and effectiveness of their business processes.

Minimum Requirements

• Completed or pursuing a Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP and frontend libraries such as jQuery, Bootstrap
• Experience in applying the latest development approaches using AJAX
• Experience in relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL
• Solid understanding of object-oriented design and programming concepts

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of Force.com development best practices and design patterns
• Experience integrating Salesforce with multiple data sources
• Experience with Salesforce.com developer toolkit (Apex Classes, Controllers and Triggers, Visualforce, Force.com IDE, Migration Tool, Web Services etc.)
• Node.js development experience
• Ability to take ownership of server-side feature integration and implement code quickly
• Experience with RESTful API design and development in Node.js using Express.js
• Proficient working with MongoDB and Relational Databases
• Ability to create and implement data shapes to bridge back-end systems and front-end requirements
• Experience writing modern Javascript (ES6 / ES7) and Async / Await / Promises
• Understand core Javascript concepts like scope/closures, the event loop and asynchronous callbacks
• Comfortable with Linux environment and using tools like Cloud9, Heroku, Git
