Responsibilities

Meritage Homes is looking for an Escrow Coordinator role to support new home closings for the Dallas Division. The Escrow Coordinator will liaise between Meritage’s sales team and our internal and external lenders to finalize closings and has the following responsibilities.

• Maintain all open and closed escrow files and ensure proper filing
• Maintain and manage permits, termite reports and city finals
• Maintain and manage grant deeds
• Maintain system notes and updates
• Maintain and manage all deposit logs.
• Receive and review HUDS, seller docs and FSPs before each closing
• Send letters to Buyers for non-performance once the communication with the Buyer by Sales has occured
• Advise Senior Management of potential escrow/closing problems - presenting solutions

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required. 2 or more years of college preferred
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in an office support position
• Must have at least one (1) year of experience in homebuilding, real estate, lender or escrow fields.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including, Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Experience with Peoplesoft and Constellation/Salesforce or similar database systems preferred
• Strong written/verbal communication skills, proofreading skills, and telephone skills
• Team Player; with a demonstrated ability to work within cross-functional teams
