JOB SUMMARY:

As a Summer Intern within Beacon - Branch Operations, you will be based in either Baltimore or White Plains MD. The Branch Operations Internship provides students with challenging assignments, leadership training, and real-world experiences. The real-world experience will be gained across many aspects of distribution for the building supply industry and will learn about one of the world’s leading distributors of building suppliers.This role will be full-time during the summer.

The primary responsibilities include:

• Organizing, formatting, and maintaining Excel data into usable reports for analysis

• Gainhands-on practical experience in wholesale distribution business model.

• Will be exposed to several facets of our business from operations to functional support to help gain understanding. Interns will interact with all key functions of the organization – Safety, HR, Credit, and Supply Chain

• Work with internal team members to review processes and identify improvement opportunities and proposed soluations

• Assisting in various miscellaneous projects, training

Desired Experience

• Available full-time up to 40 hours during summer

• Minimum of 2 years college completion and currently enrolled in a four-year degree producing program.

• Proficient in Excel and Data analytical tools

• Business, Sales, Marketing, Accounting, or Supply Chain majors preferred

• Strong oral and written communication skills

• Must be able to think critically to solve daily issues

• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
