Responsibilities

If you have what it takes to sell and have always wanted to work in the new home sales industry, now is your chance. Meritage homes will train and support you through the process of becoming a New Home Sales professional. Meritage Homes is currently seeking candidates to enter our NEW HOME SALES TRAINING PROGRAM. Our paid training program combines class work and on-the-job training under the guidance and supervision of a mentor. During your training program, incumbents will gain extensive knowledge of the homebuilding industry, as well as sales techniques and practices specific to Meritage Homes. This program was designed specifically to build the foundation needed to create “top sales producers”. During their training program, Sales Trainees are prohibited from selling or engaging in the process of selling homes until licensed.

Qualifications

• Strong desire to win and work in a fast-paced, sales/production driven environment
• Greets new home customers but until licensed, does not engage in the process of selling a new home
• Ability to pass, obtain and maintain and active real estate license
• College degree or some college hours preferred
• Desire to do the right thing including operating with integrity for our customers
• Always works to build value with other sales professionals, members of a community team and our trade partners
• Computer proficient including an ability to learn and use Salesforce to become proficient in prospecting and follow up to convert sales
• Ability to understand financial principles
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to influence prospects to act on a home decision and close sales once licensed
• Ability to develop relationships with agents and prospects and execute sales strategies resulting in conversion
• Professional appearance and presentation
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and some holidays
