    Introduction

    Associate Software Engineer

    Do you want to steer the future of one of the largest consumer robot companies in the world? You will have a hand in developing the next generation of products that will live in millions of homes across the world.     What you will do:

    • Develop embedded software in C/C++ (and very occasionally assembly).
    • Collaborate closely across many disciplines (manufacturing, hardware, cloud and mobile software, and more) to evaluate new potential sensors, actuators, and products, defining requirements, co-developing solutions, and demonstrating proofs of concept.
    • Support ongoing cost reduction efforts
    • Evaluate potential new features to fielded products to continue to delight our customers
    • Participate in the evaluation and guidance for iRobot’s next-gen products
    • Work with testers to create test plans and test cases
    • Participate in code reviews
  • Qualifications
    • At least a BS in CS/CE or equivalent Experience working with C/C++ in embedded systems
    • Experience with embedded tools and software is a plus
    • Knowledge of embedded software such as: interrupts, ADCs, DMA, SPI, inter-processor communication, protocols, and clock management
