  • Responsibilities

    This position is responsible for providing technical assistance and developing initiatives to improve equipment safety, performance, reliability, and uptime while serving as a facility resource, in:

    • Assisting Maintenance personnel, contractors, and OEM representatives in all phases of maintenance and facility repair.
    • Being a resource for, or conducting the installation, modification, maintenance, and repair of all CNC or PLC production equipment.
    • Maintaining and documenting all PLC program edits or electrical schematic updates and save to data base in the Maintenance Technical Resource Center.
    • Implementing the OEM recommended preventative maintenance procedures, lockout tagout procedures, and standard practices for the installed equipment.
    • Maintaining physical plant electrical equipment and one line electrical drawings as equipment is relocated or new electrical services are installed.
    • Being a resource for Lean Manufacturing 6S activities including but not limited to Kaizens, SMEDS, value stream mapping, Poka Yoke, Hanedashi and applications as well as process improvements.
    • Designing, specifying, or retrofitting new controls for obsolete or inefficient equipment which enhance on-time delivery and performance.

    Your Responsibilities:

    • Deploy instructions and work specifications from Facilities Engineering Manager to Maintenance personnel to accomplish task.
    • Prepare requisitions for process improvements, controls retrofits, rebuilds, and repairs in accomplishment of said duties.
    • Assist with technical training of Maintenance employees and enhance technical abilities as required.
    • Interface with contractors, OEM representatives, Technical Support, or company designees in a professional manner to accomplish tasks.
    • Troubleshoot more complex machine issues and improve machine reliability while correcting root cause issues.
    • Utilize a computerized maintenance management system to optimize facility and asset utilization through scheduled preventative maintenance and ensure procedures are in place for all new equipment.
    • Responsible for making repairs utilizing knowledge and skill competencies of; digital logic, computer hardware, software, computer I/O buss structures, electrical, electronic, pneumatic, hydraulic, and servo positioning systems.
    • Perform duties based on verbal and written instructions, blueprints, electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, equipment manuals, and electronically transmitted data.
    • Provide operational and preventative maintenance guidance to machine operators.
    • Perform other duties and direct specific projects as assigned by Facilities Engineering Manager.
  • Qualifications

    We are looking for:

    • Currently in pursuit of a minimum of an Associate’s degree in Industrial Technology or related, Bachelor’s in engineering preferred.

    • Must be proficient with Allen Bradley PLC software and RS Logix.

    • Proficient with electrical/electronic test equipment; oscilloscope, volt/ohm/amp meters, etc.

    • Proven track record of problem solving, corrective action, and leadership skills.

    • Skilled in using Microsoft Office.

    • Driven to succeed with a team player spirit.

    • Strong organizational skills.
