    TSMC is actively seeking recent engineering grads ready to begin an exciting career in the semiconductor industry! We are building a state of the art fab facility in Phoenix, AZ. Equipment Engineers for the Phoenix location will begin training in early 2021. The training program will last 18 months and will require a paid relocation to Taiwan. At the end of the training program, our engineers will begin work in Phoenix.

    Job Summary

    We are looking to hire and train Module Equipment Engineers who will use their skills to improve tool performance and availability while meeting uptime and cycle time requirements in a new fab we are building in Phoenix, AZ. No prior experience required, though previous experience in equipment maintenance or improvement is a plus.

    Responsibilities

    • Handle diffusion, thin film, lithography or etching equipment
    • Solve critical equipment issues
    • Improve tool uptime availability and utilization efficiency
    • Identify and pursue opportunities for hardware capability enhancement
    • Drive defect reduction
    • Communicate with cross-function engineers or vendors
  • Qualifications
    • A minimum of a BS degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Material Science, Chemical Engineering or Automation Engineering related fields
    • Basic mechanical-related knowledge and knowledge of semiconductor processes are a plus
    • Good problem–solving and communication skills as well as a willingness to learn
    • The ability to troubleshoot complex problems and to own the efforts to address and resolve root causes
