  • Responsibilities

    We're looking for a part-time employee who is available to help our engineering team prototype with soft goods materials, such as fabric. The Fabric Design Associate will be responsible for working with our engineering staff to assemble prototypes made from fabrics, foams, and our own proprietary technology layers. Responsibilities may include:

    • Procuring appropriate materials from local NYC fabrics, foams, and arts suppliers (ie Moods, Michaels, fashion district)
    • Measure and cut materials to size
    • Use hand and sewing machine techniques to assemble according to our instructions

    *All costs, including travel will be covered. Sewing machine will be provided.

  • Qualifications

    Ideal candidates would have the below qualifications

    • Hands-on sewing experience, both by hand and with sewing machine
    • Have completed soft goods projects, either for class or for personal use
    • Working towards a degree in soft goods discipline (ie, fashion/fashiontech) is a plus, but not required
