    As part of Dolby’s FAE team supporting partners and new Dolby initiatives both in audio and imaging. The team provides engineering and technical support to partners and operators, supporting integration of Dolby technologies with Implementation development kits and System Develop kits as well as working closely with partners on workflow issues.

    In this position you will have the opportunity to learn about Dolby’s products and technologies; complete assignments independently; interpret generally defined practices and methods; apply theoretical knowledge to solve technical problems and grow professionally in technical areas related to Dolby’s business.

    Responsibilities:

    • Build technical expertise with Dolby technologies
    • Investigate Dolby’s licensing development kits including example code, test tools and documentation
    • Contribute to Dolby’s internal knowledge base
    • Complete assignments on time and as scoped
    • Prepare regular status updates and technical presentations on assignments
    • Write test tools and scripts
    • Build, test and document technical demo’s
    • Troubleshoot, reproduce and document issues with Dolby technologies

  • Qualifications
    • Studying in a qualified BSEE, MSEE, or similar degree course in: Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related field
    • Interest and/or experience in consumer audio
    • Exposure to C, C++ and/or Java programming
    • Exposure to Digital Signal Processing, Computer architecture, Software development, Operating Systems, Technology licensing, Analog and Digital circuitry, Audio/Video system design, or testing consumer audio products
    • Interest and/or experience with mobile application development, audio system tuning, system analysis and testing
    • Able to work independently to achieve goals established in a team environment
    • Excellent written and verbal communications skills

    Desired:

    • Knowledge of Android and/or Linux operating systems, media frameworks, and development environments
    • Interest in music, audio/video production, recording engineering, game/film audio or acoustics highly desirable.
