• Set up IoT hardware devices
• Install and maintain software on Linux-based embedded devices.
• Develop/maintain mass configuration scripts
• Develop software for IoT devices to collect different data sets from the environment
• Optimize backend algorithms
• Rapidly prototype solutions on Raspberry Pi devices
• Contribute to integration testing

• Working towards a computer science or computer engineering major
• Good knowledge of IP based internet protocols (UDP, TCP, HTTP, MQTT etc.)
• Good knowledge of installing, maintaining, and interfacing with hardware device drivers
• Ability to work in a dynamic environment; familiarity with Agile methodologies is a plus.
• Strong English writing/presentation skills
• Strong interpersonal communication skills

Knowledge/Experience with:

• Raspberry Pi and/or Arduino
• Linux OS, shell scripting
• C/C++
• Python
• Java (nice to have)
• MySQL (nice to have)
