JOB OVERVIEW
TE Connectivity's R&D/Product Development Engineering Teams conceive original ideas for new products, introduce them into practice. As an Engineering Intern on our Medical team, you'll be a member of the new product development team supporting engineering staff on process and product development related activities . You will:
Support the facilitation of tool, fixture, and or machine design to meet project deliverables
Support the definition and optimization of manufacturing processes
Support risks definition and mitigation activities using engineering knowledge.
Support prototype/pre-production product build requirements
Support the creation and maintenance of process documentation
Support assembly teams in meeting customer quality and delivery requirements
Support cost reduction activities, including process improvements, conversions, and new process development.
Support systemic improvement activities, including streamlining, standardization of documentation, change control, quality, and transfer processes
Support qualification and/or validation of new and existing tools/processes
WHAT YOUR BACKGROUND SHOULD LOOK LIKE:
Minimum GPA requirement of 3.0
Enrolled in a bachelor's degree program, Engineering major
Currently enrolled in an accredited University or College for the duration of the Internship
Knowledge of manufacturing methods and tools like process maps, PFMEAs, and process controls
Knowledge of 3D CAD software
