Your role at Clorox:

Clorox’s Enterprise Analytics team is seeking a talented BI Engineer Intern/Visualization intern to evaluate and create Business Unit Dashboard in Power BI. The project is to effectively collaboration, prototyping, and deployment of a business unit dashboard which will equip, enable, and empower our Business Unit to make faster and informed decisions.

As an Enterprise Analytics BI Engineer Intern, you’ll thrive as a self-starter who approaches challenges with creativity, seeking elegant and practical solutions for real-world problems. Your strong leadership abilities and effective communication skills will enable you to collaborate seamlessly with cross-functional teams. Excellent time management, even under tight deadlines, will be your key skills. Additionally, your interpersonal skills will foster strong relationships within the organization, and your adaptability will empower you to identify needs and implement action plans effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Initial Meeting with Business Unit Analyst and Leader:
  • Collaborate to gather dashboard requirements
  • Understand key performance indicators (KPIs), metrics, and data sources
  • Determine update frequency and visualization preferences
• Collaboration with Data Engineers:
  • Work closely with data engineers to address data needs
  • Discuss sources, formats, and transformations
  • Ensure data governance and security
• Prototyping the Dashboard:
  • Create a prototype in Power BI
  • Connect to data sources and design visualizations
  • Leverage Power BI features for interactivity
• Review with Business Unit Stakeholders:
  • Design dashboard and present the prototype for feedback
  • Gather input on usability and relevance
  • Address concerns and refine dashboard

What we look for:

Education, Technical Skills & Experience

• Degree in STEM or the equivalent, pursuit of BS or MS preferred (Data Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, Business Analytics, or similar quantitative fields)
• Power BI desktop Proficiency : including data import, data modeling, DAX calculations, and visualization design.
• Data Analysis : Ability to analyze and understand complex datasets, including data cleansing, transformation, and manipulation.
• Data Visualization : Proficiency in creating visually appealing and insightful charts, graphs, and dashboards.
• Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (Microsoft Azure, GCP, or AWS), is a plus
• Understanding of design and architecture principles is a plus
• Previous internship or business experience (1~2 years) preferred
