JOB OVERVIEW/SUMMARY

Summer Technical Intern responsible for Process improvements and Project execution. The role focus on working with Technical teams to quickly identify and resolve issues to minimize business downtime.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

We are currently seeking energetic individuals to work in the plant engineering department this summer. Some of the potential responsibilities include:

• Implementing plant improvements
• Project management
• Developing engineering designs for projects
• Process trouble-shooting and root cause identification
• Engineering studies
• Specifying, purchasing, and managing the installation of mechanical and electrical systems to resolve downtime issues and increase productivity
• Supporting the different plant processes
• Improvements to operator interface screens and PLC controls

KEY SKILLS, ABILITIES AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

The successful candidates will possess the following:

• Enrolled in Engineering, Pre-engineering, or Engineering technology program with focus on Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Biochemical, Industrial, Agricultural, or Material Engineering
• Minimum Cumulative or Engineering Department GPA ≥ 3.0
• Demonstrates strong ethical standards
• Self-motivated with excellent communication & interpersonal skills
• High developmental potential with good people skills and team oriented
• Functions well within a team environment and have a willingness to learn and take on new opportunities and challenges
• A desire to work in plant engineering or operations after graduation
• Is currently a US Citizen / Permanent Resident (Sponsorship Unneeded)
• Qualified candidates will be sophomore, junior or senior status as of the end of April 2021.
