YOUR ROLE AT CLOROX:
The Clorox Company Internship Program is a 10-week summer experience that runs from June through August. Interns are provided meaningful work assignments designed to provide perspective and practical work experience highlighting what you would do in a similar role following completion of your degree and working at the company on a regular, full-time basis.
Through the course of the summer, interns participate in:
Formal, three-day orientation and program kick off with interns from all functions in California

IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL:
As a Finance/Accounting Intern at Clorox, you will help achieve business strategies and goals by translating operating activities and results into compelling consumer and business insights. As part of our Finance team, your insights will drive decision-making across the organization, and your influence will help the company build big-share brands that make everyday life better, every day.
TYPICAL ENTRY LEVEL FINANCE/ACCOUNTING RESPONSIBILITIES CAN INCLUDE:
Financial Planning & Analysis for major brand within The Clorox Company portfolio
Accounting (SEC Reporting, Consolidation, US or International Ops, Corporate Accounting, Financial Reporting & Controls)
Report actual performance vs. forecast, including identifying key variance drivers
Plan, execute and improve the quarterly financial forecasting and/or close process
Prepare journal entries and monthly and quarterly account reconciliations
Prepare and analyze volume shipment reports with key performance drivers for senior management
Ensure accuracy of cost and spending related accounts on financial statements
Execute monthly and quarterly close in accordance with GAAP for revenue, deductions, trade spending, unsaleables, discounts and sales-related expenditures
Support financial statement preparation and maintain strong control environment
Identify and influence system improvements to drive efficiency and effectiveness
Develop insights to drive the business
WHAT WE LOOK FOR:
Rising Junior or Senior (Undergraduate) or Masters student majoring in Finance, Accounting, or Economics
Desired GPA: 3.0 or higher
Completion of 3 to 6 hours of coursework in Finance or Accounting
Experience working with MS Office Products with a primary focus on MS Excel
Ability to work in one of the following locations (with housing stipend or transportation assistance from Clorox):
Finance Internships will be based in Oakland, CA; Pleasanton, CA

The applicable pay range for this role in the U.S. is based on your work location according to the cost of labor in your area. All ranges are subject to change in the future. The pay range for this role is: $19 - $25/hr
