YOUR ROLE AT CLOROX:
As a Research & Development Co-op for Clorox, you will work with a team of scientists and engineers located in Pleasanton, California to deliver and maintain a robust pipeline of innovative foods products for this fast paced, exciting, and growing business. You will have a variety of assignments within the Clorox office, Pilot Plant and Manufacturing facilities. This is a full-time position, with the expectation that you will work 40 hours per week for a 6-month period.
IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL:
Work closely with the Foods R&D team to develop or improve upon the food science capabilities within R&D, with the goal of improving our delivery of Food Joy to consumers.
Contribute to developing new and innovative products/processes working in the lab and pilot plant
Define, develop and execute SOPs, best practices, testing plans and test methods
Work with cross-functional teams and external partners to identify and make recommendations for new raw materials, formulas, and finished products
Assist with designing and executing manufacturing line trials, making observations and drawing conclusions
Establish necessary specification information for raw materials, formulas, and finished product
Analyze and interpret data to meet project targets and objectives while making recommendations that drive efficiency and manage risk
WHAT WE LOOK FOR:
Junior or Senior in Food Science or Chemical Engineering is preferred with a minimum 3.0 GPA or higher
Experience and familiarity in a chemistry lab
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Demonstrated strong leadership and influencing skills with the ability to learn fast
Excellent organization skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and effectively
Confident self-starter, capable of working independently and cross-functionally with minimal supervision and direction in a fast-paced environment is a must
