    Employment (I-9) Compliance Administrator

    Englewood Cliffs, NJ – 4 to 6 Month Project

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    Unilever is seeking an EmploymentI-9 Compliance Administrator to join the HR Compliance team, which will be responsible for verifying existing I-9 employment eligibility forms of all US personnel following federal and state guidelines.

    Specific responsibilities include:

    • Audit I-9 forms and supporting documentation for completeness and accuracy following federal requirements.
    • Log I-9 audit results to track compliance and identify exceptions.
    • Prepare I-9 exception report and notify People Experience Lead’s of noncompliant I-9s.
    • Assist PEL’s with inquiries regarding errors on existing I-9’s and procedural questions.
    • Scan and upload corrected I-9 documentation to 3rd Party Vendor.
    • Find opportunities to streamline efforts & recommend procedural changes on ad-hoc basis.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s Degree or the equivalent required.
    • 1 years’ operations or related experience desired.
    • Familiarity with I-9 and E-Verify requirements and high volume, transaction and time-sensitive processing a plus.
    • Basic proficiency of Microsoft Office suite applications (Excel, Word, Outlook).
    • Ability to adapt to shifting work priorities.
    • Ability to collaborate with team to produce deliverables.
    • Ability to meet or exceed productivity and quality standards.
    • Ability to effectively communicate ideas verbally and in writing.
    • Ability to demonstrate customer service skills.
    • Ability to work independently, and with others, and prioritize work.
    • Ability to demonstrate basic problem solving skills.
    • Ability to grasp new concepts, including technology, and to learn quickly.
    • Ability to understand and operate in an environment with regulatory/compliance requirements.
