Full Circle is looking for an enthusiastic Marketing and Public Relations Assistant to join the team. With “all hands on deck”, this position will seamlessly interact with all levels and departments in the organization, gaining enormous visibility into the inter-workings of a rapidly growing company.

Responsibilities:

• Draft and distribute press releases, media alerts and other external materials

• Follow up on PR sample requests and tracking

• Develop and maintain press relationships to local, national and trade media

• Manage internal expectations and communicating results and progress against goals to supervisor on a regular basis

• Write and edit blog posts, emails, social media, website copy, as well as other marketing copy as needed including ads and presentations

• Identification of new influencers in social and digital platforms (bloggers, vloggers, Instagram) and weekly/monthly tracking and reporting of results

• Manage marketing calendar including events, monthly themes, newsletter & social media plans and project deadlines

• Marketing project management including tracking timelines and budgets

• Assist with event planning including but not limited to industry trade shows and consumer outreach events/campaigns

• Conduct market research on competitive products or new product categories as needed

• Assist with planning email communication

• Assist with creative development and creative asset organization (photo-shoots, trade show design and campaigns)

• Create briefs and RFPs, brief graphic designers and help manage creative projects

• Excellent attention to detail

• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment

• Minimum of one year in a PR role- agency or in-house- Required

• Strong understanding of the media landscape including existing relationships with press

• Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in public relations, marketing or communication

• Proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint, with a working knowledge of Cision and other PR tools

• Understanding of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) is a plus

• Professional, positive, upbeat attitude

• Strong desire to learn

• Strong communication, writing, time management and organizational skills

• Passion for social and/or environmental responsibility

• Social media business experience with established platforms including: Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, Tumblr, Vine, Snapchat, LinkedIn and Google+

• Experience with creative projects such as photography, graphic design, web design, etc a plus

• Located in NYC-metro area
