JOB SCOPE The Key Account Manager is responsible for driving sales of Mondelēz International products through our Foodservice distributors by increasing the product volume growths and mix penetrations. This position will develop and execute successful distribution programs and promotions. The Key Account Manager is also responsible for sales to key Foodservice consuming accounts such as - restaurants, universities, and healthcare establishments. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for approximately $10 million in annual sales Display a "passion to win" by always operating with a positive attitude and being a team player Develop Market Plans to accomplish priorities of focus related to territory opportunities Execute initiatives against the very important Non-Comm business Customer communications - price changes, product discontinuations, recalls, etc Continued review of competitive environment Understand how to analyze data in an effort to leverage and influence customers to support your products, programs, etc Maintain and manage accurate data consistent with established division guidelines associated with CRM Manage available trade and T&E funding to provided budgets/expenses Work with Sales Support Analyst to manage all customer payments and deductions Provide accurate forecasting and change in product needs to production and logistics DISTRIBUTOR RESPONSIBILITIES: Partner with distributor to achieve our regional relationship/growth strategy Foster and develop solid distributor relationships that will help drive incremental sales opportunities Negotiate annual distributor contracts that provide the resources needed to drive increased distribution and revenue on Mondelez International products Secure approval for incremental core and new items Understand the strategic and tactical aspects of marketing programs to drive incremental sales for the customer Conduct ongoing business reviews with sales and merchandising to help maintain focus against Mondelēz International products, programs, and initiatives Ongoing management of all current items that are within distribution to ensure proper sales rotation and account penetration of core products Develop innovative programs and promotions that engage and motivate the distributor sales team to sell and support the Mondelēz International portfolio Manage and maintain an ongoing relationship with internal customer service coordinators and distributor purchasing managers OPERATOR RESPONSIBILITIES: Be a valuable extension of the Foodservice National Account team by focusing on and closing significant opportunities with Regional/Multi-Unit chains Execute strategic initiatives related to important Foodservice Segments - Healthcare, K-12, etc. Responsible for prioritization and account management of top operators in the market place Leverage available programs and pricing to drive incremental sales opportunities with the end user Develop programs, promotions, and incentives to drive additional revenue COMPETENCIES/ABILITIES: B.S.
