    JOB SCOPE:  

    Procurement is a global function within the organization and aspiring to demonstrate competitive advantage through wining Supplier Partnership and Effective Management of All Company Spend. The global spend is uniformly consolidated into 5-Spend Areas (Raw Materials, Packing Materials, Logistics and Manufacturing, Sales and Marketing and Business Services and IT). External Manufacturing (EM) team is part of Logistics and Manufacturing Spend Area and is responsible for cost effective sourcing of portfolio of branded finished products (FP) from “contract manufacturers” (CoMs) or “contract-repackers” (Re-pack) in compliance with Mondelēz International food safety, quality and service level expectations. This function is significantly important to the Category’s growth agenda. Yearly, EM is challenged to create external supply solutions and timely execute New Product launches representing more than 15% of annual Net Revenue growth.

    This role is responsible for leading and managing strategy of sourcing of External Manufacturing spend across North America managing annual spend of $250-400 MM. Key focus areas include sourcing strategy definition, deployment, and stakeholder management, to maximize total cost of ownership savings and procurement value contribution. Works in collaboration with Category team to understand business needs, develop regional market insights, risks and opportunities, and help drive Regional goals. He/She drives Procurement value contribution to Mondelez while ensuring compliance with policies, strategies and processes.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    1. DEFINE AND DRIVE SOURCING STRATEGY FOR ASSIGNED COMS SPEND
    • Lead development of strategies in combination with SCR team (including sub spend area strategy, supplier strategy, risk management strategy and P2P strategy) in collaboration with Commercialization and Continuous Improvement team to drive regional and global business expectations
    • Manage alignment and deployment of strategies and financial plans
    • Lead sourcing events, supplier negotiation strategy and process
    • Drive project execution (including project prioritization, securing resources, governance and controls)
    • Creation, validation and review of cost models to influence total cost of ownership
    1. MANAGE STAKEHOLDER ENGAGEMENT, COLLABORATION OF TEAMS, AND SUPPLIER RELATIONSHIPS
    • Identify and manage connectivity of External Manufacturing team with functional stakeholders, suppliers and internal procurement teams (e.g. Category Leads and Regional Procurement Center)
    • Manage stakeholder engagement and alignment throughout the end-to-end sourcing process
    • Manage supplier relationships and contracts
    1. MANAGE PRODUCTIVITY AND DAYS PAYABLE OUTSTANDING FOR THE REGION
    • Active participation and contribution to regional Margin Management and Cash Flow meetings
    • Productivity and Payment Terms recording and tracking 
    • Proactively organize sessions with internal customers to identify Total Cost of Ownership reduction opportunities

    1. LEAD CONTRACT IMPLEMENTATION AND CONTRACT COMPLIANCE AS PER GLOBALLY AGREED PROCUREMENT POLICIES

     

    • Manage and monitor supplier contracts and compliance 
    • Coordinate contract implementation tasks with Regional Procurement Center team
    • Secure knowledge transfer and exchange by creating and storing project deliverables and relevant tools and templates in knowledge repositories
    1. NEW PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT AND CHANGE MANAGEMENT

     

    • Lead process of new platform products being developed 
    • Manages trials, throughput validation, costing and timely launch of products
    • Creates LR/LOA and other necessary documentation to support investments at CoM
    1. END TO END SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT

     

    • Establish and Lead process for end to end supply chain management and operations review
    • Creates KPI and glide path tied to ISC performance targets

    INTERNAL/EXTERNAL CONTACTS:

    • ISC (Business Development, Product Supply, CSNL) – Weekly
    • RDQ (Director, Group Leader, Principle Engineers, Scientist) – Regularly
    • Strategic Sourcing and Supply Planning Team within Procurement - Regularly
    • Engineering and Internal Plants Operations– As needed
    • Suppliers: for executing product change management and new product launches
  • Qualifications

    EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

    • Bachelor’s Degree (Finance, Operations Management, Engineering), MBA a plus
    • Minimum 8 years of experience in Procurement
    • Minimum 3 years of experience in Operations or Project Management
