Packaging Engineer Intern

The Dermalogica Packaging team is in search of a detail oriented, enthusiastic, and diligent Intern. You will work directly with the Package Engineering team to assist in extraction of data from existing component specifications and entry into a comprehensive specification tool. This responsibility will range from leveraging existing documents to working with suppliers to find and document missing information, specs, drawings, etc. The internship is a critical component in developing the specification system, building it out and creating a functioning database for the business. This is a part-time, paid internship up to 30 hours weekly.

This role will be a remote based paid internship meaning working from home to accomplish the work and goals.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead the data entry and compilation of documentation for the businesses comprehensive Specification Database
• Input data, research missing information, interact with suppliers to gain information and documentation
• Manage sustainability reporting tool for reporting to Unilever
• Give input on how to improve the system, opportunities to increase efficiencies and improved reporting functionality
• Work closely with the Specright team to drive initiatives and lead the further development and build out.

Education/Certification

• Current student pursuing a degree in Packaging Engineering from a recognized Packaging Program

Experience Required

• Prior experience with the Specright specification system
• Experience and understanding of deciphering drawings, technical documentation, and specifications

• Detail oriented, reliable, and able to work independently towards deadlines
• Strong work ethic and excellent time management skills
• Exception verbal and written communication skills
