KEY RELATIONSHIPS Candidate will interact with Design and Development staff, toy and game designers, graphic designers, model makers and other artists.
Other Key Relationships: Candidate will collaborate with various departments such as Global Marketing, Global Engineering and Packaging. In addition, candidate may be required to produce a concept design project with other interns from various departments.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Concept Development
Assist Global Brand teams to:
Ideate, sketch, and draw concepts for 2017 product lines
Apply design principles to the creation of product assets using design software (Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign and Acrobat).
Participate and contribute in brainstorm sessions and consistently apply on-trend design insight for styling, fashion, and lifestyle.
Product Development
Assist Global Brand teams to:
Create innovative, robust, user-oriented and consumer-centric products
Utilize internal resources and time management skills to independently manage projects to meet deadlines for self.
Build confidence and knowledge when interacting with internal / external partners and presenting design solutions.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Desired areas of study include: Toy Design, Industrial Design, Product Design, Concept Art, Illustration, Animation
Desired software includes Photoshop, Illustrator, Solid Works, InDesign, Maya, zBrush
Prior Experience desired in a variety of areas:
Illustration, concept art, visual development, 3D modeling, sketching, rendering, animation, storyboarding, sculpting, along with traditional art skills such as drawing, painting, sculpture. Candidates with an interest in fashion design, color or merging digital and physical experiences are encouraged to apply.
Demonstrated design skills with respect to design trends and product packaging preferred
Interest in toy, fashion doll or juvenile product or related consumer industry preferred

Qualifications for Co-op program:
Must be a current undergraduate or graduate student enrolled in a degree program, 2015 graduates are not eligible for our co-op program
Must be able take a semester off from school to work as a full time co-op for 40 hours/week. If you do not meet this requirement, please look for full time positions or check back for our INTERNSHIP postings in February 2016.
Our Design Co-ops cycles last 4 or 6 months depending on your school's requirements (January - April or January - June)
