  • Responsibilities

    The Regional Distribution Coordinator has ownership of all physical distribution needs for customer and replenishment orders within the region. Role responsibilities include utilizing the transportation management system to validate and drive optimal order. Team commitment, on-going business engagement and breakthrough thinking will be required to evaluate Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in an effort to identify and recommend distribution solutions that are within strategy. These include, but are not limited, to on-time and carrier acceptance.

    Position will support current and new transportation sourcing strategies that seek opportunities to drive the business forward. You will raise the bar to identify new growth opportunities. To achieve success, it is necessary to deliver through teams and utilize internal resources for long-term resolution. Additionally, trailer pools will be collaboratively managed with shipping facilities and carriers to ensure on-time and delivery. Reviewing, maintaining and potentially reducing targeted freight budget goals through analysis is essential for continuous growth.

    • Who You Are & What You'll Do *
    • Monitor, identify gaps and collaboratively plan carrier equipment needs with distribution centers, plants, co-packers, capacity planning teams and Trailer pools
    • Create and process replenishment and customer shipment documents using the appropriate tendering system
    • Perform a daily review of pending offers to carriers, resolving load planning, tendering, and delivery exceptions in SAP
    • Work with Specialists and co-located Planners to measure carrier performance to improve key distribution goals
    • Conduct carrier acceptance & rejection reviews
    • Ensure Trailer pool adherence
    • Closely track No Show/Late Shipment reports
    • Drive Carrier capacity planning reviews
    • Participate in monthly accessorial / budget review
    • Exception management and resolution of batch jobs

    WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED

    • Degree required.
    • 1 to 3 years Logistics Supply Chain experience a plus .
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills required.
