    As the Associate Finance Manager for Treasury Operations, you will be joining the North America Controller’s Team and be responsible for local treasury operations and provide decision support and financial insight of long-term financial plans and cash forecasting requirements to all Unilever’s operating units in North America. The AFM will be business partnering on a daily basis with, among others; Unilever’s Central Treasury team based in the Schaffhausen, Switzerland, local banks, key internal stakeholders (tax, legal, payroll, finance management and global operating center) and 3rd party service providers (IBM, Cap Gemini, ADP) to ensure timely funding and delivery of other treasury needs and reporting requirements. Duties and responsibilities include managing the day to day business treasury needs and helping troubleshoot business queries and payments/banking issues and act as an interface between the business and local banks, approving/reviewing local banking systems user access and entitlements, supporting the Company to drive the financial flexibility agenda and engage the Central Treasury and Tax Teams to discuss treasury key priorities, supporting the business on settlement of treasury needs for business acquisitions and disposals, onboarding new businesses onto the Unilever banking platform, coordinating the timely and accurate filing of escheated funds with our 3rd party service provider, managing the financial close and reporting process for treasury related activities and ad hoc projects assigned by the Assistant Controller.

    Who You Are & What You’ll Do

    Demonstrate exceptional accounting expertise, proactive approach, with the ability to support the business in developing and executing on reporting, planning and budgeting processes. Effectively and efficiently use financial information to provide the business with better insight into business performance trajectory and opportunities for growth; Plays an active role in driving for change and continuous improvement in the Treasury area; identify areas that require improvement and use technology/automation to improve it.

    Deal effectively with third party general accounting resources in different time zones, different culture/language and high turnover with outsource partner present particular challenges. Services a complex legal entity structure. Scope includes various operating units and legal entities in the Americas region. Manage information flow among numerous internal and external contacts. There are many third parties providing data into the area as well as a diverse number of internal customers with different information requirements

    What You’ll Need To Succeed

    • The successful candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree with a finance/accounting emphasis (MBA/CPA/CA preferred), combined with 1-3 years treasury/banking operations/financial accounting/reporting experience.
    • SAP Financials system experience strongly preferred
    • Required high level of proficiency with Microsoft Office – especially Excel, Word and PowerPoint
    • Candidates will have strong communication and interpersonal skills and is tenacious in meeting deadlines and objectives
    • External Orientation – Build beneficial relationships with external service/information providers and be attuned to the information needs of internal customers. Build strong relationships with our local banks and our 3rdparty service providers
    • Team Alignment – Work with Central Treasury, General Accounting and Reporting teams to achieve success
    • Real Accountability – Become the expert in managing the North America Treasury Processes
