Position Overview:

Living Proof is seeking a Staff Accountant to support full cycle Accounts Payable processes. Reporting to the Senior Financial Controller this position will provide day-to-day accounting functions and support monthly close activities. This role is a new addition to the Finance team to scale with extensive business growth. Responsibilities will evolve over time; the ideal candidate will have the ability to function and add value in a highly collaborative, cross-functional environment.

Responsibilities:

• Management of all processes in Concur for AP automation
• Review and expense coding for AP invoices in Concur and SAP
• Facilitation of invoice approvals to appropriate budget holders
• Communication with internal and external stakeholders regarding payment processes
• New Vendor set up and review inclusive of W9 collection
• Validation of all invoices and corresponding purchase orders related to inventory
• Ensure appropriate internal controls are followed for all processes around vendor management, invoice submittal, approvals and outgoing payments.
• Support monthly close processes by ensuring all transactional accounting entries are complete and accurate per close schedule timelines.
• Work with finance team to further develop daily processes and create efficiencies to improve overall functionality for the team and produce timely results.
• Support ad hoc projects as needed
• Ensure that detailed accounting documentation is compiled and maintained in support of internal control processes
• Audit and process employee expense report per travel and expense policy
• Ability to serve as back up for mission critical tasks

Key Skills & Experience:

• 1-2 years experience in professional office environment
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business (or equivalent business experience)
• Comfortable in a fast paced, high volume, technical environment; prior small company experience is a plus
• Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, adaptability, and a resourceful mindset are critical to success in this role
• Highly self-motivated and demonstrated eagerness to learn and grow into additional responsibilities
• High rate of interaction with internal customers and senior management requires excellent communication and inter-personal skills
• Willingness to work hours needed to complete responsibilities as required by finance calendar
• Ability to juggle multiple projects while working with deadlines
• Proficiency with Excel required; experience with SAP (or other enterprise software) is a plus
