Our goal is to provide easy, sustainable swaps that are a no-compromise moment of magic, and we started by reinventing body wash from the ground up: with zero plastic, dissolvable packaging, and no water weight (lower CO2 emissions). We are a small (but growing) group of committed individuals looking for a collaborative, insightful marketer to be part of the founding team that helps define and bring Plus to life.

Job Description:

As a Marketing Associate at Plus, you’ll be tasked with owning a variety of projects to help grow the brand. Including 1) strategize and manage our Social Media Content Calendar across platforms, ensuring we’re communicating our product and brand values effectively and in shareable and unique ways, 2) ideate and coordinate brand partnership activations online and offline, 3) community management: engage with customers and influencers across channels, building an authentic community of brand enthusiasts.

This person will report directly to our co-founders. Plus is at a really exciting early growth startup stage. With this role, there is lots of room for direct impact and ownership/growth, and rapid learning. You’ll directly communicate your ideas and collaborate on creative strategy with the founders.

Responsibilities:

• Be the voice of Plus on the front lines, conversing with customers about our brand, mission, and product across all of our communication channels.
• Owned content development: refine our social strategy directly with co-founders, concept posts, and project manage the social media process.
• Ideate and coordinate brand partnership activations (online and offline). You will coordinate our giveaways and other marketing programs.
• Proactively build and foster a community of Plus brand ambassadors and content creators.
• Engage with customers daily via email and social media, with the goal of providing them with quick solutions and unique attention.
• Work directly with co-founders to ensure messaging is on brand, up-to-date, and effective.
• Synthesize customer feedback; advocate needs internally and work collaboratively with product, operations, and manufacturing.
• Interface with our warehouse team as needed to fulfill re-orders and samples.
• Help define the work culture of Plus. You’re one of our first team members - the vibe depends on you.

Who You Are:

• You’re excited about the Plus vision and brand.
• You care about sustainability in some capacity - you don’t have to be an expert, wanting to learn and knowing we need change is a great place to start.
• You have 0-3 years professional experience.
• You have a Bachelor’s degree.
• You are a clear and warm communicator with a passion for providing customers with best-in-class care.
• You are proficient across social media channels, and you’re on top of trends everywhere: TikTok, Instagram, Twitter, etc.
• You are fluent in Google Drive (Docs, Sheets, Slides) and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• You are organized, detail-oriented, self-motivated, with an ability to juggle multiple conversations and solve problems efficiently and thoughtfully. You thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced and highly-fluid startup environment.
• You are empathetic, confident, curious, creative, patient, and eager to learn.
• You have a “no task is too small” attitude.
• You appreciate a clever, well-timed joke.
• You are familiar and knowledgeable with the personal care / beauty industry (not required, but preferred).
