    DIRECTOR OF RETAIL RECRUITING, NORTH AMERICA

    The Director, Talent Acquisition for North America leads the effort of attracting and acquiring top retail talent for The Estee Lauder Companies. He/she manages internal and external stakeholder relationships in addition to guiding, supporting and developing a recruitment team through the lens of a retail mindset.  This individual manages the candidate experience from end-to-end, providing superior client attention with a focus on showcasing our employer brand. The Director will be an individual who demonstrates strong leadership capability, intimately understands the retail market, possess exceptional decision-making and problem-solving, can navigate ambiguous situations and will thrive in a dynamic and evolving environment. 

    ABOUT THE ROLE | RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Build, lead and set direction for the national retail recruitment team for our brands 

    • Manage full retail candidate experience lifecycle: sourcing candidates, interviewing, internal stakeholder management and partnerships, employer branding and converting and onboarding 

    • Develop candidate pipelines through external digital tools, referrals and networks 

    • Own metrics and reporting for recruitment activity and progress; establish goals and KPIs to drive success 

    • Continuously provide insight on candidate experience to recruiters to ensure positive experience and elevate the service delivery internally 

    • Responsible for overseeing the growth, development, performance and dynamics of the team 

    • Continue to drive Inclusion & Diversity (I&D) by building and refining structures and processes that help mitigate bias in hiring 

    • Establish proactive pipelining of talent for retail needs and succession planning which include an internal mobility strategy as well as looking for external key hires 

    • Strive for operational excellence: elevate internal processes, ensure consistent candidate experience, job descriptions, interview techniques, and evaluate and develop the tools and agencies for the team

     

    ABOUT YOU | QUALIFICATIONS

    • Proven track record of creating and building a dynamic team 

    • You are data-driven and operationally focused 

    • You are adept and comfortable managing through change and high-volume retail environments 

    • You have the ability to take ownership and accountability for work and manage a team to deliver successful results 

    • You are creative and resourceful and can manage multiple projects 

    • You exercise sound judgment and discretion 

    • You possess a positive attitude, excellent communication skills, and strong interpersonal skills 

    • You have the ability to thoughtfully and successfully build and maintain relationships 

    • Bachelor’s Degree required, Masters preferred 

    • Minimum of 5-10 years in a dynamic retail environment is required 

    • Domain expertise in Talent Acquisition and the candidate experience  

    • High proficiency in talent systems and technology 

    • Strong Microsoft Office suite experience including presentation building skills
