    The Company has developed ambitious sustainability goals directed towards reducing its impact on Climate Change and reducing energy, carbon and preserving water for future generations.  This position requires an experienced engineering professional with a background and knowledge base in energy efficiency management. The Energy Efficiency Manager’s primary focus will be on energy reduction, energy management, and operations in the Company’s portfolio of factories, warehouses, and R&D, office & retail locations. The ideal candidate has a strong grasp of best practices in the field of water stewardship/management and is eager to bring ELC to a world-class level of sustainability.  As a member of the Global Environment Health Safety + Sustainability (EHS+S) team, the Energy Efficiency Manager will report directly to the Global Lead of Energy and Water Efficiency Programs and will work closely with facility engineering staff, site-level EHS Team members, the Corporate Sustainability team, and brand/office/R&D staff, among others.  This position is responsible for supporting the development of key performance indicators (KPIs), measuring and monitoring, supporting opportunities to improve energy management and energy efficiency and implementing the strategy to meet the energy and carbon reduction goals.     • This position requires operational and professional technical engineering background along with the experience necessary to support the new sustainability goals related to water and energy intensity reduction set by the company.

    • Position will be responsible to provide technical support to site level staff to identify, define and execute energy savings initiatives, projects and develop best practices. This will be followed by the development of a site-specific phased energy reduction strategy across the Company utilizing capex and opex to reduce energy demand for building and process operations in support of the 2025 ESG goals

    • This position must have successfully demonstrated sufficient experience in managing and developing analysis and metrics to guide facility representatives to issues and remedies for best practice in energy efficiency. Additionally, this individual may be called on to survey existing facilities and subsequently produce suggested improvement strategies which will reduce energy consumption, increase sustainability, and improve functionality. This position will assist with implementation of technical recommendations.

    • Ability to work with a geographically dispersed team in diverse work environments from manufacturing, distribution, labs, offices and retail to enhance/align on ELC’s energy and carbon reduction goals.

    • The position must be technically organized, have superior follow up as well as interpersonal skills in order to present information in manners which are usable based on a variety of audiences.

    • Excellent presentation and communication skills. Ability to adjust communication style based on the situation and the audience. Report to senior management on progress of energy goals.

    • Experience with data analysis, spreadsheets and environmental metrics reporting software.

    • Experience with sustainability reporting standards - GRI, CDP and the GHG Accounting Protocol · Fluent in suite of Microsoft applications

    THIS POSITION IS A REMOTE GLOBAL ROLE.  PREFER THAT CANDIDATE BE LOCATED NEAR AN ELC MFG SITE.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Key objective of this role is to provide technical support to assist ELC in reaching its energy, carbon reduction and efficiency goals and develop future requirements

    • Support the development of the EMS (Environmental Management System) to incorporate energy management into workplace practices and support the integration of the sustainability playbook. Develop energy efficiency standards, monitoring and metering requirements, and related KPIs to drive continuous improvement.

    • Recommend new and emerging technologies to improve energy efficiency, reduce energy consumption and support the company’s corporate sustainability objectives.

    • Bring advanced knowledge of energy conservation, technology, and drive initiatives to develop the energy reduction strategy. Provide technical guidance to facilities to develop site-based energy reduction plans working along with external partners and oversee implementation of sustainability capital projects at site level providing support as required.

    • Provide technical support as required for Global EHS+S / Global Engineering / GCCS sustainability programs and initiatives.

    • Analyze global energy consumption and facility level data reports to monitor, control, and identify opportunities to drive energy efficiency and reduce energy consumption and associated environmental impacts. Maintain energy usage data and prepare performance reports to management. Support the development of the annual CDP Climate Change Questionnaire, GRI reporting and other management reports.

    • Interpret energy metering and monitoring usage and assist the facilities representative in implementation of building and process changes.

    • Provide technical support on projects and programs working with Global Engineering and GCCS identifying continuous improvements in line with ELC Standards (Green Building, Sustainability Playbook, LEED, EMS Level 1 policies, etc). 

    • Technical support to assist with facility level audits for energy efficiency at our facilities and identify opportunities for energy savings and quantify the potential savings.

    • Sound project management experience to establish and ensure adherence to budgets, schedules, project timelines, work plans and performance requirements.

    • Work with a geographically dispersed global team in NA, EMEA, APAC, LATM in diverse work environments from manufacturing, distribution, labs, offices and retail to enhance/align on ELC’s water stewardship goals.
