  • Responsibilities

    Sales

    • Achieve/exceed brand sales goals
    • Has the ability to set action plans to exceed goals
    • Manages and tracks sales daily
    • Communicate any challenges that stand in the way of success to manager for support
    • Must be comfortable with interactive product demonstrations at the store level to customers and store staff
    • Confident ability to pull customers and sell
    • Ensure product merchandising meets company standards
    • Complete required brand survey with commentary and pictures after every shift

    Education

    • In depth knowledge of brand history, product knowledge, and assortment
    • Excellent ability to coach and educate in various environments (one on one, mid to large group)
    • Mentor, coach, and lead store staff to feel confident about the brand
    • Build positive working relationships with the store staff
    • Leave a positive lasting impression after each store visit
    • Participate on brand training and team rally calls

  • Qualifications
    • Must be passionate about the beauty industry
    • Strong retail or freelance artistry experience preferred
    • Experience as an esthetician, make-up artist, stylist, nail tech a plus
    • Candidate must be comfortable demonstrating beauty products and comfortable with touching clients with permission
    • Beauty savvy and able to represent the brand look while adhering to dress code policies of the various retailers & department store (when in doubt wear black!)
    • Must be tech savvy as there will be smart phone based apps you will be required to use successfully
    • Reliable transportation
    • Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds
    • Must be punctual and dependable
    • Outgoing, positive and trustworthy personality

    Beauty Barrage CEO Sonia Summers has managed national sales teams for multi-million dollar brands for a good part of her 20 year career in the beauty industry. She launched her own business, The Beauty Specialty Group in 2008 to help incubate start up brands.

    Getting retail distribution is only half the battle. The other, and more difficult task is achieving sell thru in store. Training and education for retail associates, in-store events and regular visits are crucial to helping a brand succeed at retail.     Beauty Barrage was created specifically to fill this need for her Beauty Specialty Clients. Once officially launched, it became known as a cost effective solution for brands of all sizes to be represented at the store level. With over 300 trained beauty professionals servicing over 2,000 doors in the US and Canada we help to minimize brands investment and maximize sales return of a field team.
