    SUMMARY:

    This position is responsible for working with the Director, Motion and Animation and team to provide support in the conception and production of motion content in digital and social creative. The position works closely with global digital/online creative team, global brand creative teams, global marketing, global affiliate markets, and external agencies in the creation of concepts, storyboards, and animations to contribute to the achievement of strategic brand marketing objectives. As the Senior Designer, Motion and Animation, you will participate in the creation of content for various channels of distribution. We expect you to help produce, design, edit, and animate for instore LED screens, social media, online ads, commercials, web videos, and other video assets for various products campaigns and offerings. We expect you to bring a great sense of design and style.

    PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

    • Elevate MAC as a digital leader with innovative creative executions

    • Work in partnership with Global Creative, Global Marketing and the MAC Online Division

    • Work closely with the global affiliates to develop content that best meets the needs of the markets

    • Concept and edit videos and animations for global digital and social campaigns across all platforms including digital, mobile, social, out-of-home and in-store to create multi-channel awareness and to increase profitability

    • Work within the modular creative system to refresh content

    • Understand the Digital/Social/E-comm/XR competitive arena and bring new ideas to the table based on competitive review of the digital marketplace

    • Constantly innovate and bring digital ideas to life by investigating new technologies

    • Act as a creative conduit across multiple departments to provide creative solutions to support the brand’s needs

    • Ensure that all creative reinforces brand’s prestige position and uphold its equity

    • Edit video, design and animate 2D motion graphics

    • Implement strong typography skills and graphic design to animate text and visuals in promotional offers

    • Continually research and brainstorm creative ideas, styles, and trends

    • Work with creative teams and provide ideas in brainstorming meetings

    • Have a basic understanding of video formats, compression, specifications

    • Maintain a library of reference and swipe

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • BA or BFA preferred

    • 3-4+ years of work-related experience in editing, animation, motion graphics or related field

    • Strong graphic design background including concept development and art direction, and an interest in fashion

    • Strong and careful usage of typography

    • Skilled eye for aesthetic, well-edited and/or well-animated videos

    • Ability to work with a variety of people in various disciplines Experience with immersive digital experiences like VR and AR (such as Tik Tok filters) is a plus

    • Superior organizational skills

    • Understanding of current talent, trends and industry fees and usage

    • Needs to thrive in a fast-paced environment, oversee multiple projects, have attention to detail and work well with cross functional teams

    • Strong communication skills to able to present – Clearly communicates expectations. Can relate to a range of people spanning business to creative to technical discipline

    • Technical and creative proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop and Illustrator. Knowledge of Cinema 4D is a plus.
