WHAT YOU’LL DO

As an Senior Manager, Engineering, Cart and Promotions, you’ll lead a team of software engineers who are responsible for online checkout for hundreds of sites across multiple global regions. You will manage your project goals, contribute to product strategy, and help develop your team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead a distributed team of engineers spanning all experience levels.

• Provide mentorship and coaching to your team to help them learn, grow, and succeed.

• Collaborate with your team on the overall planning, execution, and success of complex technical projects.

• Balance Engineering and Product work into the roadmaps with a long-term view in terms of engineering excellence.

• Build cross-function relationships with engineering, product, and UX to facilitate project delivery.

• Attract, recruit, and retain the best people across the globe.

QUALIFICATIONS

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

• You have at least 3 years of hands-on leadership and people management experience.

• You have at least 5 years of hands-on programming experience in Ruby, Java, JavaScript, Elixir, or similar programming languages in a production environment.

• You have a strong desire to lead healthy, happy, and high achieving teams.

• You have a proven track record of collaborating with peers to get successful delivery of projects.

• You have a deep understanding of Agile principles and how to apply them effectively.

• You have experience with utilizing monitoring and observability tools like DataDog or Sumo Logic.

• You have experience with version control, CI/CD and container tools such as Git, GitHub Actions, and Docker.

• You have a general understanding of orchestration platforms like Kubernetes or Nomad.
