    Northrop Grumman is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer. This position will be located at our Mission Systems Sector in Camarillo, CA.

    For decades, Northrop Grumman has protected U.S. forces and our allies by designing, developing, and delivering weapons of increasing complexity and capabilities for expanded missions and domains. We support some of the world’s most advanced products, from cutting-edge aircraft and next-generation spacecraft to unrivaled cyber security systems and all-seeing radars. We are looking for you to join our NGMS Camarillo office as a Software Engineer supporting the EA-18G Growler program. The EA-18G Growler is the most advanced airborne electronic attack (AEA) platform and provides tactical jamming and electronic protection to U.S. military forces and allies around the world. The aircraft integrates the latest electronic attack technology, including the ALQ-218 receiver system, jamming pods, communication countermeasures, and satellite communications.

    While supporting the Growler program, you’ll get to:

    • Collaborate with our Navy customer, internal NG sites and other engineering disciplines in the design, development, integration, and test of software upgrades to the EA-18G AEA subsystem

    • Rehost Embedded Realtime System Software as part of the advanced EA-18G (Block 2) program

    • Work in an Agile environment as part of a scrum team

    • Resolve software and system defects

    • Contribute to peer reviews, critical milestone reviews, and technical interchange meetings

    This requisition may be filled at either a level 1 or a level 2. Basic qualifications for an Embedded Software Engineer 1 are a Bachelor’s Degree. Basic qualifications for an Embedded Software Engineer 2 are a Master’s Degree.

    Basic Qualifications:

    A candidate must meet ALL of the below criteria. The candidate must:

    • Be completing or has completed their degree (Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD) from an accredited institution

    • Be majoring in or having majored in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) degree

    • Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 or higher (unofficial academic transcripts must be provided at time of application by uploading the documents to your application or profile).

    • Be able to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite)

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.70/4.0 or higher

    • Experience programming with C++ language

    • Knowledge of Electronic Warfare, Radar, Signal Processing, Advanced Receivers/Transmitters

    • Strong verbal communication skills

    • Knowledge of object-oriented development

    • Ability to function as a member of an integrated team

    • Experience working in an Agile environment

    Salary Range

    • Salary Range: $70,200.00 - $105,400.00

    • Salary Range 2: $85,000.00 - $127,400.00

    Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
