Northrop Grumman is seeking Pathways and Associate Pathways Mechanical Engineers to join the Mission Systems Sector. This position will be located in San Diego, CA. This position will be in the Pathways rotational program where there will be three rotation opportunities within engineering. The qualified candidate will become part of Northrop Grumman’s Networked Information Systems (NIS) Division. The selected candidate will work in an environment that develops the next generation of solutions. The selected candidate will work in a dynamic people-focused environment where he/she will interact with users, customers and other engineers. ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design, Modeling and Simulation, Testing
• Verification and validation
• Problem solving

• Drawing and document creation

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS A CANDIDATE MUST MEET ALL OF THE BELOW CRITERIA. THE CANDIDATE MUST:

• Be a student who is enrolled full-time and pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited college/university and graduating after August 2022.
• Be majoring in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or very closely related field
• Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 or higher (unofficial academic transcripts must be provided at time of application by uploading the documents to your application or profile)
• Be able to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.70/4.0 or higher
• Previous internship/co-op experience, leadership and teamwork capabilities, interpersonal communication skills, and activities (professional/community/extracurricular)
• Experience in working in an autonomous work environment on complex projects.
• Experience in working on business or engineering full life-cycle projects from project inception through launch.
• Knowledge of HFSS, NEC or FEKO.
• Experience in CAD and FEA tools: Solidworks, CATIA v5, NX, Flotherm, Ansys, or NASTRAN/PATRAN
