    Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has an opening for a Microelectronics Products RF Test Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Redondo Beach, CA.

    The selected candidate will develop cutting edge wafer level DC, RF, and millimeter-wave testing software of advanced IIIV semiconductor products. This person will support on-going production and engineering on-wafer RF Testing. They will be required to perform a wide variety of tasks including hands-on laboratory test development, test software development, troubleshooting, test process set up and optimization, data analysis, and sustaining manufacture on-wafer testing. Must be capable working in a team environment, possess good communication skills, and be able to work in both general and Class 10 clean room laboratory environments.

    Essential Functions:

    • Perform hands-on laboratory RF test development, RF test software development

    • Troubleshoot test process set up and optimization

    • Data analysis and support manufacture production and engineering on-wafer RF Testing

    • Act as a resourceful point of contact for both the test, design, and development teams

    • Support the development of teams in the investigation of issues

    • Programming experience in Keysight VEE, NI LabView languages

    The selected candidate should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, collaborative/team settings across all levels. Candidate must be comfortable in a lab environment including general and Class 10 clean room laboratory environments. They are able to collaborate closely with product and process engineers, MMIC designers, and integration/test engineers.

    Basic Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university

    • Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 or higher (unofficial academic transcripts must be provided at time of application by uploading the documents to your application or profile).

    • Be able to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite)

    • Knowledge of RF test instrumentation and measurement techniques, test software development (Keysight VEE, NI LabView), semiconductor device operation, and semiconductor processing techniques.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Hands-on experience with manual and automated semiconductor wafer testing.

    • Course work or work experience in Microwave Engineering and Device Physics

    • Previous programming experience in MS Visual Basic .NET, ANSI C and C-shell.

    • Knowledge of Linux/Solaris systems with basic commands

    • 1+ year of RF Testing experience and programming experience in either Keysight VEE, NI LabVIEW or both.

    • Active DoD Secret
