    Northrop Grumman is seeking an Associate Systems Engineer/Systems Engineer. Northrop Grumman is seeking a Systems Engineer for a college hire opportunity. This position will be located at our Aeronautics Systems Sector in either Redondo Beach, El Segundo, Palmdale, or Rancho Bernardo, CA.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

    This requisition may be filled at either an Associate Systems Engineer level or a Systems Engineer level.

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS FOR AN ASSOCIATE SYSTEMS ENGINEER:

    A candidate, regardless of age and hiring source, must meet ALL of the below criteria. The candidate must:

    • Be completing or has completed their Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution

    • Be majoring in or having majored in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) degree

    • Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 or higher (unofficial academic transcripts must be provided at time of application by uploading the documents to your application or profile)

    • Be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite)

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS FOR A SYSTEMS ENGINEER:

    A candidate, regardless of age and hiring source, must meet ALL of the below criteria. The candidate must:

    • Be completing or has completed their Master’s degree from an accredited institution or is completing their Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution and 2 years of mechanical engineering experience

    • Be majoring in or having majored in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) degree

    • Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 or higher (unofficial academic transcripts must be provided at time of application by uploading the documents to your application or profile)

    • Be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite)

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.7/4.0 or higher

    • Previous internship/co-op or other work experience, leadership & teamwork capabilities, interpersonal communication skills, and activities (professional/community/extracurricular)

    PAY RANGE:

    • Associate Systems Engineer: $ 68,100.00 to $ 102,100.00

    • Systems Engineer: $ 82,400.00 to $ 123,600.00

    Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
