Northrop Grumman is seeking Global Supply Chain Specialists for an internship opportunity. This position will be a remote/virtual position within our Corporate Sector.

The qualified candidate will become part of Northrop Grumman’s Corporate Global Supply Chain organization. The selected candidate will work in a fast-paced environment that encompasses a variety of functional areas.

AS AN INTERN, YOU’LL PARTICIPATE IN A SUMMER INTERNSHIP PROGRAM TO DEVELOP COMPETENCIES IN A VARIETY OF SPECIALIZATIONS THAT MAY INCLUDE:

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Sources and procures goods and services from a variety of suppliers

• Issues Requests for Quotations and Proposals and receives supplier responses, analyzing proposed pricing, terms, schedule, etc. from potential suppliers

• Works with internal customers to ensure specifications are appropriate for the services or products required

• Identifies opportunities to reduce cost, improve efficiency and manage risk through targeted negotiations

• Issues purchase orders

• Manages performance of purchase orders, ensures compliance with all public law requirements as well as company (and business) policies and procedures including import/export regulations

• Will complete a project in conjunction within their assigned functional area (Systems & Data Analytics, Management Services, Compliance, Global Import Management, Strategy & Risk, or Business Operations)

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

A CANDIDATE MUST MEET ALL OF THE BELOW CRITERIA. THE CANDIDATE MUST:

• Be enrolled full-time and pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited college/university AND graduating after August 2023.

• Be majoring in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or a related field. Only candidate who have the listed degree/major will meet this requirement.

• Be available to work full-time (40 hours per week) for at least 10 weeks during SUMMER 2023.

• Be able to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite)

• Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0 or higher (unofficial academic transcripts must be provided at time of application by uploading the documents to your application or profile)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.70/4.0 or higher

• Majoring in Supply Chain with relevant coursework in Supply Chain, Operations and Project Management

• Previous internship/co-op experience, leadership & teamwork capabilities, interpersonal communication skills, and activities (professional/community/extracurricular).

• Good presentation and writing/communication skills.

• Self-motivated, willing to learn, and interested in working in a team environment.

INTERN PAY RANGE:

• Bachelor’s: $18.50 to $24.50 per hour

• Master’s: $29.50 to $31.50 per hour
